Description
The role of emergency lighting is to allow a safe evacuation of the building to be made when the mains supply fails. This is achieved by the use of special luminaries or lamps and batteries. Emergency lighting must also enable the building to meet fire safety legislation in a way that is visually acceptable and satisfy the users needs for operation and maintenance.
This bitesize course will give you an understanding of emergency lighting from a technical standpoint.
